Senior Citizens' Appreciation Programme - Air Itam & Air Putih

The inaugural senior citizens' appreciation programme spearhead by the Pakatan Rakyat enang State Government. I basically camped 8 hours at Maybank Air itam on 3rd and 4th of April. I wish to acknowledge many volunteers and helpers from DAP Air Itam & Air Putih service team, Rela, Gov Officers, JKKK Kampung Melayu, JKKK Thean Teik and JKKK Kampung Pisang and the staff of Maybank who made this programme a successful one.

I am moved when I see our peoples treat the senior citizens with respect. Here are the snapshot.

自制号码牌 备交通工具 完善服务回馈长者

尽管马来亚银行亚依淡分行同时处理两个选区的乐龄人士回馈金受惠者，不过在选区服务队协助下，该分行在短短1小时之内，已派发回馈金予500名受惠人士。

据亚依淡区州议员黄汉伟说，该银行分行总共处理亚逸布爹区及亚依淡区共4000份回馈金，即亚逸布爹1600份及亚依淡2400份。

“由于我们事先做出了解，该分行在周末是没有提供号码牌服务，所以我们动手制作号码牌及准备电脑，让受惠者以牌号方式来领取回馈金。”

由于该分行是在大路旁，而且是位于巴士行驶路线地点，所以难免有来自其他选区的受惠者到该分行欲领取回馈金。黄汉伟说，截止中午为止，有逾10名指定到马来亚银行发林分行领取回馈金的受惠者，到亚依淡分行排队等候。

检讨错误

“由于我们有提供领号码服务，即发现有些受惠者是到错分行领回馈金，所以我们特别准备交通载送他们到正确分行去领回馈金。”

他说，由于今年是首年派发乐龄人士回馈金，无可否认出现瑕疵，惟他表示会加以检讨，比如在明年会在通知公函用4种语言，以方便乐龄人士阅读。
